“I am from India and wasn’t super familiar with all the American wedding traditions. Katie was super thoughtful and patient with me. She took the time to understand what works best for us. We were very lucky to have Katie be part of our special day!”

& FRIEND
We'll start with a 30-minute exploratory conversation to align on your hopes, dreams, and expectations for the ceremony to determine whether we're a good fit for each other.
In our second 60-90 minute meeting, we'll get into specifics—from ceremony length and readings to overall tone.
I'll craft an initial ceremony outline based on our discussions. You can choose to review this framework to ensure we're heading in the right direction.
With your blessing, I'll reach out to select friends and family members with thoughtful questions. This research helps uncover the themes that make your relationship unique.
Using insights from our meetings and conversations with loved ones, I'll write a ceremony that tells your story — with the specific moments, humor, and heart that make it yours.
If you would like, you'll have the opportunity to review the final ceremony script or have a trusted family member review it so we can ensure every word feels right.
During the rehearsal, I'll guide your wedding party through the ceremony flow, working seamlessly with your planner to ensure everyone feels confident.
On your wedding day, I'll arrive early, coordinate with your vendors, and deliver your ceremony with the care it deserves.
“I hadn't realized what an incredibly detail-oriented job officiating is until Katie took it on for us!
She created a ceremony so full of joy; my favorite memory of my wedding day is how much we laughed together through it. — Katie S
“I feel so fortunate to have had Katie officiate our wedding.
She is exceptionally organized and thorough, and made our dream ceremony come to life. Katie's thoughtful approach ensured that our love story and personalities shined, and her warm presence made us feel completely at ease during such a big moment. Months later, we are still receiving compliments about our beautiful ceremony. I would recommend Katie to anyone in a heartbeat. She is professional, reliable, and above all, a natural.

I'm based in Portland, OR and serve weddings in and around the Pacific Northwest. In certain instances, I am available for broader travel.
I sure do. I officiate all manner of weddings and adjust my process based on whatever the moment calls for.
I take a limited number of weddings each season to ensure every couple receives dedicated attention. Most couples book 4-8 months in advance, though I occasionally have availability for shorter timelines.
I will lead the process as little or as much as you'd like. That's exactly why I offer structured guidance while keeping things flexible. I will always give you materials to react to so you can determine what resonates and what doesn't.
Absolutely! If you'd like to write your own vows, I'll provide guidance on structure and length to help them flow seamlessly with the rest of the ceremony. I can also offer example vows for inspiration.
Asking a trusted and capable friend is a wonderful way to make your ceremony personal. If you book and ultimately decide you want to ask a loved one, I will transfer your deposit into a credit for my signature course for first-time officiants "More Than Words." This allows you to get on my schedule, while giving you flexibility.
Reach out with any questions you might have. I'm here for you and so look forward to speaking with you.
